Creative Nations invites you to join us for its Inaugural Creative Nations Indigneous Arts Market at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, Colorado. Artists and community members will enjoy Indigenous People’s day weekend viewing creations from Artisans representing various indigenous communities across the United States.
Creative Nations Indigenous Arts Market will feature artists booths, traditional/cultural dance performances, live music, film festival and panel discussions. This year’s event will take place on October 9 and October 10, 2021 from 9am to 6pm each day.

We are calling out to all our fellow Indigenous brothers and sisters to apply for this wonderful event to showcase the wonderful talent and beauty Native America has to offer through Arts and material culture. Vending spaces will be available outdoors along with premium indoor booths!

To Us The Ashes, a reference and ode to Chief Seattle’s Treaty of 1854, is a collection of 5 Indigenous Documentary Shorts from across the world. As each short highlights different Indigenous stories of fly fishing conservationists in the Pacific Northwest to a young Lakota woman creating a girls’ boxing team, they each embody the ingenuity and tenacity of Indigenous People across the world. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8 AT 7 PM MDT - World Premiere of 'The Daily Life of Mistress Red'

The Daily Life of Mistress Red is a mockumentary that explores the world of kink, native women, and defeating white supremacy. Marie Callingbird is a Native fashion boutique owner and Mistress Red part-time. Mistress Red is a dominatrix for hire who takes the effects of racism, sexism, and colonization into her own hands by educating white supremacists through pleasure. This project focuses on issues within the circle of indigenous women, racism, and the acceptance of sexuality.

MONDAY OCTOBER 11, 2021 4:30pm & 7:00pm – Amá is a feature length documentary which tells an important and untold story: the abuses committed against Native American women by the United States Government during the 1960’s and 70’s: removed from their families and sent to boarding schools, forced relocation away from their traditional lands and involuntary sterilization.
